I try to combine elements and techniques from landscape and nature photography, with a visual sensibility inspired by modern art. I’m always looking for moments that capture my attention out of the flow of an ordinary day, and offer the possibility of using my skills to create something beautiful.

I first became interested in photography in high school, though at the time I was mostly fascinated by black and white photography in the classic tradition of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. But back in the day, that required all sorts of specialized equipment and chemicals I didn’t have – and I was more focused on other creative interests at the time anyway. As the digital camera revolution brought previously unheard of photography techniques within reach at last, I came back to it.

I began with a yearly project of custom photo print holiday cards – each year a signed and numbered limited edition. And now I’m expanding to make available a wider range of prints and wall art pieces.
